One of the best parts about winter time are the cold cozy nights. Drinking tea while it’s snowing, bundled in blankets and flannel. I try to keep my winter nights as cozy as possible and have everything I need for the most relaxing nights. Since it’s still the season for cold nights, I wanted to share with you all my routine for a relaxing night in!
I always start a relaxing night with a cup of tea. Decaf of course. I’ve also really been expanding my tea horizons, trying different flavors from specialty tea stores. When I visited Japan last year, I was able to pick up some of the prettiest tea supplies. From clay pots to painted cups. Although recently, I’ve been using this retro/vintage Chantal teapot I found in mint green. I’m also obsessed with the Trader Joe’s Mint Melange Tea. It’s delicious, relaxing, and the mint is really soothing.
I don’t know about you all, but as soon as I get home from work I immediately put on my most comfortable pajamas. The one’s I’m wearing above, and have been wearing a lot lately, are from Kate Spade. I really wanted an actual pajama set and Kate Spade’s are adorable and comfortable.
Part of my routine while I’m winding down on the couch is spent either reading or watching Netflix. I’ve been reading Doctor Sleep by Steven King which, if you like thrillers, is really good. Also, for any entrepreneurs reading this, the book “Ask Gary Vee” by Gary Vee is extremely interesting. He has a lot of amazing tips for anyone looking to strike out on their own.
Next step, I can’t have a relaxing night and my nighttime routine isn’t complete without a hot shower or bath. I recently discovered the Trader Joe’s lavender salt scrub and it’s amazing. It seriously feels like a spa in your own bath haha.
If you’re looking for a new face cream, I highly recommend the Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation. It’s kind of pricy but it’s definitely worth it. It leaves your skin feeling soft but not oily.
My nighttime routine then ends with cozying up in bed with a book. Especially after a long day of work, these are the best. I’m linking to everything in this post below to shop. Let me know what your favorite part of a relaxing nighttime routine is in the comments below!
